Ask the Sky exists in two forms: a kite made to catch the wind, and a blanket made to hold the image close to the ground. Printed, hand-painted and full of Bai Taotao’s creature-like visual world, the pieces feel like one painted universe split between sky and floor. The kite brings movement and ritual; the blanket turns the same mythology into something softer, domestic and almost protective – a textile souvenir from another dimension.
