BAI TAO TAO
BAI TAO TAO is a Hangzhou-based artist living near Hangzhou Safari Zoo — a fitting neighbour for someone whose work often feels inhabited by animal spirits, soft omens and characters from another dimension. Describing herself as an omen collector, dimensional traveler, furry-friend summoner and “human Pattern Management,” she builds a playful mythology through images, objects, patterns and strange emotional creatures. Her practice moves between the everyday and the magical, where sweetness, instinct and fantasy become their own visual language. Bai Taotao graduated from China Academy of Art and Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan, and continues to create from Hangzhou.
