PAPAPEPIA
PAPAPEPIA is an artist based in Hangzhou, working across objects, images, space and digital forms. His practice explores the soft edges of perception — the small signals, symbols and emotions that often escape language. Treating materials as active beings with their own hardness, folds and fragility, he reshapes familiar images into forms that move between the concrete and the abstract. His works are often inhabited by sprite-like creatures, opening up worlds where objects, ecology and feeling exist in one shared magnetic field. He holds a BFA from China Academy of Art and an MFA from Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan.
