LAZYBACKHOME
LAZYBACKHOME is a visual and media artist and director based in Hangzhou and Shanghai. She received her Master’s degree in Animation from the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London, in 2024, and was an artist-in-residence at the Swatch Peace Hotel Art Center in 2023. Working across video, sculpture, printmaking, and performance, her work has been exhibited internationally at institutions including the Barbican Art Centre, the Arsenale, Ars Electronica, Tank Shanghai, and the K11 Art Center, alongside participation in exhibitions and platforms such as THE WRONG Digital Art Biennale. She has presented solo exhibitions including It’s All True, Man (2022) and Apple of Sodom (2024), and her works are included in collections such as the CC Foundation and White Rabbit Gallery. Drawing on myths, fables, and fairy tales, her practice explores how media technologies construct a post-global mythology, reinterpreting cultural symbols to reflect contemporary social structures and shifting power dynamics.
